Wayne joined Kennedy Covington Lobdell &Hickman in 1972 and after 38 years as a civil litigator/partner with KCL&H/K&L Gates Wayne started his own ADR Practice in January 2010. As a partner in the litigation department he concentrated on construction litigation, professional malpractice defense, personal injury, products liability, and insurance litigation. The last 20+ years he developed his ADR practice to the point of spending 50% of his time on these mediations/arbitrations. He has handled in excess of 3000 mediations and arbitrations. These have included all types of Tort claims, Insurance Coverage Disputes, Construction/Commercial/ Business Disputes, and Condemnation and other Real Estate matters. His arbitration practice focuses primarily on construction and commercial disputes, as well as a variety of insurance matters. Wayne has been selected by his peers in the NC "Legal Elite" since its inception and has consistently been listed as a NC "Super Lawyer" and the last five years as a "Super Lawyer" in the US.
