Michelle exclusively practices in the area of mediation and arbitration. 

As of March 22, 2026, she maintains a settlement rate of 98.03% in the more than 4,670 cases she has handled. The total amount settled exceeds $929,150,900. The results of the 92 cases not settled are as follows:

Ms. Langan has served as a Judge Pro-Tempore for the Pima County Superior Court.  She is a Charter member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals since inception in Arizona. In addition to her work in Alternative Dispute resolution, Ms. Langan has been a civil litigator since 1991 with considerable experience in court, arbitration and jury trials. She has served on the Federal Magistrate Merit Selection Commission and she has been recognized as Attorney of the Year for Law-Related Education by the Arizona State Bar for her dedication to community service. She is a featured speaker at numerous seminars on Alternative Dispute Resolution throughout the country each year. She received her J.D. from the University of Arizona College of Law in 1990.

The mediation fee includes preparation, the mediation    session, and post‑session follow‑up. A three‑hour minimum applies.

Two parties: $325 per party per hour

Three parties: $275 per party per hour

Four parties: $225 per party per hour

Five or more parties: $190 per party per hour

For matters heard in Maricopa County, a flat travel fee of $2,000 per day applies (covers travel time, mileage, meals, and lodging).  For out‑of‑state or complex matters, please contact me for rates.
