Biography |
Jerry Crouter is a civil trial lawyer with extensive experience as a mediator and arbitrator in commercial, construction, employment, real estate, malpractice, personal injury, and probate cases. Jerry has mediated more than 1000 cases, both complex, large and small, with settlement ranges from the thousands to the millions.
Listed in Best Lawyers in America in the categories of Commercial Litigation, Construction Litigation, Labor and Employment Litigation, Bet-the-Company Litigation, Arbitration and Mediation, Jerry has also been named by Best Lawyers as Maine's 2010 "Lawyer of the Year" in the category of Alternative Dispute Resolution, the first year the award was given, as Maine’s Arbitration Lawyer of the Year in 2015, and as Maine's Mediation Lawyer of the Year in 2019.
In addition, Jerry is listed in the Chambers USA Guide of America's Leading Lawyers for Business and Commercial Litigation, and in 2013 Benchmark Litigation recognized Jerry as a Maine Litigation Star. He has served as an adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Maine School of Law, where he taught Trial Practice. |
