Mr. Stern joined the The Mediation Group in Brookline, MA in January 2015 after a distinguished law career in the Boston area.  Mr. Stern was with Sugarman, Rogers, Barshak & Cohen for his entire career and he was partner from 1977 to 2014.  He has served as a mediator and arbitrator for more than 20 years within his firm and for a multitude of other organizations.  He is a member of the American College of Civil Trial Mediators, and has served on its Board of Directors.  He was named a Distinguished Fellow of the College in July 2012.  He has also been designated as a Massachusetts "Super Lawyer" since 2005, and listed in Best Lawyers in America under Alternative Dispute Resolution since 2006.  His mediation practice focuses on a wide variety of business disputes, as well as personal injury, including in particular cases of factual complexity arising from product liability, medical malpractice and/or insurance coverage issues. His practice also encompasses employment and partnership disputes and construction cases.
