Biography |
Retired District Court Judge Jackie Glass joined ARM (Advanced Resolution Management) in 2015. Before that she was with Private Trials from May of 2012 until joining ARM. She is a very experienced mediator and arbitrator. Judge Glass also utilizes her skills in jury selection and presiding over mock trials and focus groups.
Prior to joining Private Trials, Judge Jackie Glass hosted the nationally syndicated television court show Swift Justice with Jackie Glass. The cases were all real cases from around the country with the participants agreeing to participate in televised binding arbitrations.
She retired from the bench in May of 2011, after 8/12 years. Elected in 2002, Judge Glass was assigned both criminal and civil cases. She is known for her work in several high profile trials including the Las Vegas criminal case State of Nevada v. O. J. Simpson.
Judge Glass served as a part of the leadership team at the Eighth Judicial District Court. She served as a member of the Executive committee representing the Specialty Court programs. Glass helped create the Clark County Mental Health Court in 2003, in an effort to improve how the criminal justice system deals with mental illness. She also established a task force to gauge whether a person is competent to stand trail, leading to the creation of the Clark County Competency Court in 2005.
During her last year on the bench, Glass oversaw Clark County District’s drug and alcohol treatment courts. These influential courts provide therapeutic supervision and treatment for defendants with serious substance addictions. Judge Glass actively participated in the court’s settlement conference program. Not only volunteering to handle settlement conferences, but was a much sought after settlement judge, with an outstanding track record for getting cases settled. |
