Biography |
Eric K. Englebardt became a lawyer because he wanted to try cases, and having spent the first 15 years of his career regularly trying cases to jury verdicts in the courts of South and North Carolina he feels very comfortable in a courtroom. However, with the advent of alternative dispute resolution, Eric found that more and more of his time was being spent at the mediation table rather than in the courtroom. He also felt that serving as a mediator fit his personality and experience well, and after a 40-hour course, Eric was certified as a mediator by the South Carolina Supreme Court. Now, with over 2800 mediations under his belt, Eric feels like there's little he hasn't seen or can't handle.
Having spent most of his career in big firms, Eric is now at his own firm, Wilson & Englebardt, LLC, concentrating his practice on Dispute Resolution. Eric mediates regularly in both Carolinas, around the country when duty calls, and often speaks on mediation related topics to professional and civic groups. He has also been selected by his peers to both Best Lawyers and SuperLawyers for Dispute Resolution and Litigation categories. |
