Christopher graduated with Honors and Distinction with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Connecticut College and his law degree from The Dickinson School of Law, where he served on the Law Review.

He is a member of the American Association for Justice and the Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute, and the Tort and Insurance Practice section of the American Bar Association. Attorney Wanat has been regularly selected by a peer review process as a Top Attorney in New England by Super Lawyers Magazine.

Christopher's law practice is focused on cases involving commercial disputes, contractual law, products liability, construction, automobile negligence, premises liability, medical malpractice, municipal liability, and toxic torts. In 1998, Attorney Wanat was Board-Certified as a Trial Attorney in Civil Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He was recertified in 2003, 2008, 2013 and 2018.  Attorney Wanat has tried multiple jury cases to verdict, in addition to participating in numerous arbitrations, both as an advocate and arbitrator.

Christopher has served as mediator for hundreds of complex litigation matters, and has also appeared before the Connecticut Supreme and Appellate Courts and regularly participates in seminars regarding litigation issues.
