I have been a litigating attorney for more than 40 years.  I started my career in 1979 as a Plaintiff’s attorney.  In 1991, I was recruited by State Farm to join their newly formed in-house attorney program.  For most of my career, 26 years, I worked as a senior trial attorney at State Farm.  At State Farm, I tried approximately one to two cases per year, deposed experts in various disciplines, including medical experts, biomechanical experts, accident reconstructionist, as well as financial experts.  While at State Farm, I also arbitrated and mediated hundreds of cases.  I have extensive experience litigating cases involving personal injury, products liability, and premises liability, as well as assessing insurance coverage issues.  I am familiar with most medical issues arising from injuries.  There is rarely a case that is totally unique to me.  I am familiar with many of the physicians and other experts who typically offer expert testimony at personal injury trials.  Over my decades of experience, I have developed invaluable skills in evaluating and valuing cases.  

In 2017, I tried my last case with State Farm and started Bud Roberts Dispute Resolutions, LLC.  In this role, I now mediate and arbitrate personal injury cases including UIM and UM cases.  I also consult with Plaintiff’s law firms on their larger litigation files.  After leaving State Farm, I continued my service as a Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Pro Tempore in mediating cases, a role which I have held for over 15 years. 

RATE INFORMATION - I charge $380.00/ hour.  I do not charge a cancellation fee but do charge for the time I spend on the case up to the time of cancellation.
