Education	Judge Wood received his BA from Colgate University in 1958 and his LLB from the University of Pennsylvania in 1961.
Biography	Lawrence E. Wood was a Chester County Court of Common Pleas Judge from 1980 until 2006. During his 26 years on the trial court he presided over trials and settlement conferences in most areas of civil litigation. He also came to understand how suburban juries value cases. Judge Wood has extensive experience in personal injury, commercial matters, professional liability, insurance, construction and product liability matters. He spent four years in the U.S. Navy before starting his own law practice. From 1971 – 1980 he was the Senior Partner of Wood, Parke, Barnes, Spangler & Bortner, thereafter he became a Common Pleas Judge.
