After graduation, Mr. Murray practiced primarily in the field of personal injury law, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. He has handled a wide variety of cases, ranging from simple rear-end collisions to complex, multi-party environmental torts.
Mr. Murray has been certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy as a specialist in civil trial advocacy and served as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Law for Tulane’s trial advocacy Program. Additionally, he has been a speaker at various seminars sponsored by the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association and Professional Education Systems, Inc. Topics have included discovery, cross-examination, insurance, federal removal jurisdiction, and mediation.
Mr. Murray received his dispute resolution training through the American Arbitration Association (AAA), the American Bar Association (ABA), the American Academy of Attorney Mediators and Loyola University. He has served as a mediator trainer for the American Arbitration Association, the State of Louisiana and the Louisiana State Bar Association and has lectured on the topic of mediation to various groups and organizations. He was an Adjunct Professor of Law at Loyola University where he taught a course in negotiation, mediation and other forms of dispute resolution.
He has mediated over 1100 cases in a wide variety of areas including automobile accidents, redhibition, admiralty/maritime, medical malpractice, and premises liability and employment discrimination.
Mr. Murray is a member of the ADR Section of the Louisiana State Bar Association and he is co-chairman of the New Orleans Bar Association Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. He is a member of the LSBA House of Delegates and serves on the CLE Planning committee. |
