Craig M. McKee has practiced with Wilkinson Goeller Modesitt Wilkinson & Drummy in Terre Haute, Indiana, since 1985. He has a general practice, focusing in litigation, health care, and alternative dispute resolution. He has been a certified mediator since 1993 and has handled hundreds of mediations.
Since August 2007, Craig has served as part-time U. S. Magistrate Judge assigned to the Terre Haute Division of the U. S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. He is appointed to that post by the District Judges. He presides over preliminary matters on the court’s criminal docket. The court’s administrative rules permit him to practice in the court as an advocate in civil cases, however, and he continues to represent clients in federal civil litigation in Terre Haute and Indianapolis.
Craig is a native of Terre Haute and was graduated from Indiana State University in 1979 with a B.S. degree in speech communication and journalism. He was graduated from the Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis in 1983. His legal career began as a law clerk for U.S. District Judge Gene E. Brooks in Evansville (1983-1985).
He has served as president and board member of United Way of the Wabash Valley, the Terre Haute Rotary Club, the Greater Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce, and the Terre Haute Bar Association. He formerly served on the board of the Indiana State University Foundation and the Indiana Bar Foundation.
Since 1999, Craig has been in a number of volunteer capacities for Washington National Cathedral and has served on its governing board, the Cathedral’s Chapter, since 2005. |
