Judge Kaiser conducts mediations in all types of legal disputes. He has mediated thousands of cases Approximately 90% of the cases he mediates result in a settlement. Mediation is an informal, voluntary process. The goal is a final settlement of the case.

Judge Kaiser was elected to the Northeast District Court of King County in January 1978. He served in that capacity until he joined Judicial Arbitration & Mediation Services, Inc. in July 1989. In 1992, he opened a sole practice as a mediator and arbitrator.While practicing law, Judge Kaiser specialized in complex civil cases, contract law, commercial law and anti-trust matters. He frequently served as a hearing officer on employment classification, discrimination and disciplinary cases. As a sitting judge, he conducted hundreds of settlement conferences and mediations, many of which involved auto accidents. He developed an expertise in evaluating the causes and damages. Judge Kaiser has participated in a number of mediation training seminars.
