Scott Douglas has been a full-time mediator since 1997, actively assisting in the resolution of legal disputes across the Western United States, and increasingly, on a National basis. He has developed a reputation as an effective, hard working and efficient problem solver, blending facilitative and evaluative methods in order to achieve a 90%+ settlement rate. To date, Mr. Douglas has successfully mediated more than 1800 cases.

From 2006 to 2008, Mr. Douglas served as Chairman of the Mediation/ADR Subcommittee of the NAMC (National Arbitration and Mediation Committee). The NAMC advises the FINRA (formerly NASD) Board of Directors on development and maintenance of an equitable and efficient system of dispute resolution.

He has extensive background in mediation and arbitration of commercial disputes, including securities/commodities, insurance coverage and bad faith, ERISA/disability, broker and agent errors and omissions, labor/employment, private contract disputes, maritime/transportation (including personal injury and cargo), construction defects, real estate, and professional malpractice.
