A 1976 graduate, Mr. Clapp received a Juris Doctor with Distinction from the University of North Dakota School of Law. He attended undergraduate school at Hamline University, St. Paul, Minnesota; the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota; and the University of North Dakota. |

Biography |
Richard A. Clapp devotes virtually all of his practice to matters in litigation. He has extensive jury trial experience and has tried well over 150 cases to a jury with a remarkable success ratio.
The author of North Dakota Law For Claims Professionals, excerpts of closing arguments presented by Mr. Clapp in various trials have been published in Stein, Closing Argument, The Art and The Law. Mr. Clapp is listed in Marquis Who’s Who in American Law.
Mr. Clapp is admitted to the Bar in North Dakota and Minnesota, the United States District Courts for the States of North Dakota and Minnesota and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. His practice extends beyond the States of North Dakota and Minnesota to other jurisdictions throughout the United States. |
