• Mikah received her Juris Doctorate from the Washington University School of Law (2001) and her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations from Missouri State University (1998).

Mikah is licensed to practice law in the states of Kansas and Missouri, and, as a mediator, she specializes in employment discrimination and wage and hour disputes. Mikah has mediated the following types of workplace disputes: race discrimination; retaliation; worker’s compensation retaliation; breach of contract/commissions; and sexual harassment. Throughout her 15-year career, Mikah has represented both employers and employees in work-related litigation, including cases involving claims of race, gender, age, disability and national origin discrimination. She has also represented employers and employees in FLSA collective action cases. Currently, Mikah serves as the Director of Affirmative Action at the University of Missouri- Kansas City, where she handles human resources compliance matters and oversees the University’s investigation and resolution of discrimination complaints. Mikah is also an adjunct professor at the University of Missouri- Kansas City School of Law. Her course load includes seminars in Employment Law and Race & the Law. Additionally, Mikah is an experienced trainer and educator for practicing attorneys. She provides continuing legal education training on matters related to employment law and professional responsibility. She has also delivered diversity and inclusion training to employees at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
