| Biography |
Clayton E. Clement is an arbitrator and mediator with broad experience in business, real estate, partnership and winery disputes. He is a member of the panel of ADR neutrals at the Arbitration and Mediation Center in Santa Rosa. He has handled over 100 mediations and arbitrations. He has mediated cases involving real estate fraud, partnership dissolution, real property partition, winery-grower disputes, elder abuse, lender liability, foreclosure, breach of contract, landslides, construction defects, easements, neighbor disputes, inverse condemnation and insurance bad faith. He has arbitrated cases involving medical malpractice, elder abuse, real estate sales, insurance coverage and bad faith and fraud. He has received mediation training from several sources over the years. Mr. Clement’s law practice is largely devoted to real estate litigation, including property tax, broker liability, eminent domain, partnership and other business disputes involving real property. He has also handled contract, anti-trust, unfair competition, false advertising, title insurance and employment litigation. Mr. Clement has tried over 100 cases before state courts in 20 California counties, federal district and bankruptcy courts and before county assessment appeals boards and state administrative agencies. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, two organizations where membership is available only by invitation and only to the most capable and experienced trial counsel. |
