Education She graduated from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. Ms. Moreno is a certified mediator receiving her certificate in mediation of employment and labor disputes from Cornell University, New York and various advance certificates in Dispute Resolution from Straus Institute, Pepperdine Law School. As an undergraduate, Elizabeth Moreno attended California State University Fresno, earning a degree in History, cum laude.
Memberships As a prolific writer regarding legal issues, elimination of bias and access to justice, Ms. Moreno?s articles have been published in the Los Angeles Daily Journal, Beverly Hills Bar Association Newsletter, ABA Just Resolution Newsletter, Mediate.com, Advocate, Journal of Consumer Attorney Associations for Southern California and republished numerous times. Ms. Moreno has been appointed to the a three year term to the California State Bar's Administration of Justice Committee. The committee studies and reports recommendations on proposed changes in civil procedure, court rules and administration, rules of evidence, and other matters having an impact on the administration of justice in the civil courts. She is serving a three year term on the Board of Directors of the California Conference of Bar Association that recommends changes to California Law. After serving a three year appointment to the California State Bar Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Committee, she has been appointed an advisor to the State Bar ADR Committee. The ADR committee identifies issues concerning the relationship of ADR to the practice of law, the administration of justice and improving access to justice.
Biography

Elizabeth Moreno is an arbitrator, hearing officer and referee and has presided over hundreds of arbitrations and hearings. As a hearing officer she decides whether a party has operated within HUD and Housing Authority policies for Los Angeles County, the municipal law for the City of Long Beach and City of Santa Monica and decides Department of Water and Power disputes. As a referee, she makes determination if an employee should receive disability retirement for Los Angeles County Employee Retirement (LACERA).

Ms. Moreno arbitrates cases involving contract issues including health insurance charges, automobile lemon law, construction, employment, securities fraud and financial contract disputes. As a well recognized mediator in Southern California, Ms. Moreno has resolved hundreds of disputes. As a mediator, she conducts private mediations involving employment discrimination, wage and hour disputes, personal injury, insurance, business contracts, and construction defect actions. She handles cases in the areas which she has practices law in and gained expertise for the U. S. Forest Service, U. S. Postal Service, Riverside and Orange County Superior Courts and U.S. District Court.
