Bruce Levin served as a Judge of the Connecticut Superior Court for over 20 years until his retirement in 2012. During his time on the bench, Judge Levin authored over 700 published opinions, touching upon a wide variety of important, cutting-edge legal issues. His opinions have been cited hundreds of times by his colleagues in Connecticut and dozens of times by judges in other jurisdictions.

Before he was appointed to the bench, Judge Levin was in private practice, from 1980 through 1992 as a partner at Mihaly & Levin. He served as trial counsel for the City of Milford for over 10 years, handling numerous land use and tax matters. Judge Levin began his legal career as an associate at Bai, Pollack & Dunnigan from 1976 through 1980. Throughout his time in private practice, he handled a diverse array of cases, including civil and appellate litigation, as well as land use, commercial and municipal law.

Among other achievements, Judge Levin was honored as the 2010 recipient of the prestigious Markle Award for Exemplary Service, Outstanding Knowledge and Achievement in Law and Judicial Leadership. He also was one of only 5 Judges in the United States to be certified as a Child Welfare Law Specialist (CWLS) by the National Association of Counsel for Children (NACC).
