Judge Cosgrove is a member of the Erie County Bar Association. He is also director and former president of the West Seneca Rotary; a director, coach and member of the West Seneca Youth Soccer Association; and former vice chairman of the West Seneca Democratic Committee.
Formerly, Judge Cosgrove served as director of the Western New York Trial Lawyers Association, director of the SUNY at Buffalo School of Law Alumni Association, secretary and vice chairman of the Board of Trustees of Medaille College, and as chairman of the Board’s Academic Affairs Committee. Judge Cosgrove also served on the Board of Trustees of Trocaire College and Mount Mercy Academy. |

Biography |
Judge Cosgrove served a 14-year term (1991- 2004) as New York State Supreme Court Justice for the 8th Judicial District, Erie County. During his tenure, Judge Cosgrove presided over trial terms throughout the western New York area and New York City. His experience includes felony criminal trials, medical malpractice, labor law and product liability cases. He practices in business and commercial litigation. |
