Biography |
David Merwin has more than 30 years experience in the workers’ compensation system in Michigan. He has served as a Magistrate and as both defense and plaintiff’s counsel. As a Magistrate he was an effective mediator, assisting in the resolution of hundreds of cases. He also tried and decided, by written opinion, more than 100 cases while a Magistrate. He has practiced primarily on the west side of Michigan but did spend one year as a Magistrate in Detroit. He has also served as an Arbitrator in tribal workers’ compensation cases. He received a BS degree from Denison University, a M.Ed. from Ohio University and a JD degree from the University of Illinois. He has been a member of firms in Muskegon, Grand Rapids and Gaylord. |
