Education |
Jim earned a law degree with distinction from the University of Nebraska law school. He was selected as the first law clerk to be employed by the Honorable Paul White, Chief Justice of the Nebraska Supreme Court. |

Biography |
After graduation Jim joined a law firm in Grand Island, Nebraska as an associate. In three years he became a partner. He practiced in that firm for almost 25 years. He then associated with a law firm in San Francisco to manage and litigate cases brought in state and federal courts nationwide involving lawsuits brought by persons with hemophilia who allegedly contracted HIV-AIDS as a result of blood products they were taking.
Following the end of that litigation, he practiced law in San Francisco for three years. He then started a mediation practice where he mediated disputes involving claims which included wrongful termination, wrongful death, premises liability, automobile negligence, construction defects, and dissolutions of a family partnership, a family trust and a family corporation. |
