Biography |
Robert Ward practices general civil litigation and serves as a neutral in Alternative Dispute Resolution proceedings. He is licensed to practice in both the states of Alabama and Georgia. He graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law where he was a member of the Trial Advocacy Board and the Frederick Douglas Moot Court Team and declared Best Advocate at the Regional Competition. He also served as a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association and Alabama Trial Lawyers Association where he was Vice- President of the Alabama Chapter at the University of Alabama Law School. Prior to joining the firm he served as a senior prosecutor in the Montgomery County District Attorney's office from January 1993 to October 28, 1994. He also worked as an Assistant Attorney General assigned to the Criminal Appeals Division from July 1991 to January 1993. Mr. Ward clerked for the Honorable William Bowen of the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals from July 1989 to July 1991. Before embarking on a legal career, Mr. Ward worked in two other areas of importance. From October 1983 until August 1986, Mr. Ward was employed as a bureau chief by the Mayor's Office of Housing and Community Development in New Orleans, Louisiana, responsible for the monitoring of Community Development Block Grant Funds. After graduating college in 1978, he was hired by General Electric Credit Corporation in Metairie, Louisiana, where he served as Regional Credit Manager for the Retail Finance Division until October 1983. |
