Retired partner from the law firm of Jones Day. Law practice with 30-office global firm in the area of corporate, business and commercial transactions, with emphasis on business counseling, financing transactions, joint ventures, commercial contracts and negotiated acquisitions, with a concentration in the outsourcing, high technology and information technology and computer law fields. In the general business transactions and corporate portion of his practice David Sloan managed and negotiated a wide range of counseling, transactional and litigation support matters representing a wide range of clients. These included early-stage and venture capital financings, private placements of debt and equity, a variety of lending transactions, initial public offerings and other public financings; negotiated mergers and acquisitions; general corporate counseling; shareholder, partnership and limited liability company agreements; advising boards of directors; and sales, distribution, sourcing and other commercial contracts and transactions. |
