Biography |
Judge Henry served on the Los Angeles Superior Court from 1983 to 1992, serving in the Family Law Department for the last three years. Prior to that, she was appointed to the Los Angeles Municipal Court by Governor Jerry Brown, Jr. and served in that capacity from 1982 to 1983.
Judge Henry also served on the San Bernardino Municipal Court from 1979 to 1982. Judge Henry practiced environmental class action law with the Los Angeles firm of Wikle, Atkinson, Boller & Falls. She also worked for the Office of the City Attorney and as Deputy City Attorney of the Criminal Division of San Diego.
From 1973 to 1979, Judge Henry served in various capacities for the Department of Transportation ranging from Deputy Attorney II to Assistant Deputy Directory for Caltrans in Los Angeles and Assistant to the Chief Counsel of the Legal Division doing special projects for the Department of Transportation, statewide. She also worked as Special Representative for the California Conservation Corporation (on loan from the Department of Transportation) from 1976 to 1977.
Judge Henry specializes in family law and has heard numerous cases involving family law. In the North Valley, she presided over Writs & Receivers, Law & Motion, Civil Settlements, as well as hearing numerous civil trials. Judge Henry has also heard numerous criminal cases involving high profile death penalty cases. As a Deputy Attorney with the Department of Transportation, she handled personal injury cases and condemnation suits. From the very inception of her career, Judge Dana S. Henry has been involved in mediating employment disputes and resolving fundamental employment issues. As a Mediator of employment disputes, partnerships and family law matters, Judge Henry, with her experience and commitment, has helped resolve the conflicts that arise in these highly charged emotional cases. |
