Biography |
Ms. Nicholson has a strong civil litigation background and received her certificate as a Board Certified Civil Trial attorney in 1984. She was a partner with Lane, Mitchell and Harris, P.A., specializing in admiralty and maritime law, products liability, commercial litigation and general tort claims.
Ms. Nicholson has been a full-time Mediator since 1989, mediating over 5000 cases in South Florida and throughout the State, both within the court programs and as the selected mediator in voluntary mediation.
In addition to the 80 hours of basic Mediation Certification training for Civil Circuit and Family Mediation, Ms. Nicholson has completed over 75 hours of advanced mediation training. As a frequent speaker on Mediation, Ms. Nicholson has made presentations to the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, The Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute, Indiana Trail Lawyers Association, Professional Seminars, Inc., The Dade County Bar Association and the United States Attorney's Office, among others. |
