Ken Doss has been devoting 100% of practice to providing mediation and arbitration services since 1997. Mr. Doss has a 45-year legal career encompassing a broad range of experience. For the first 15 years, he was engaged in private practice in Atlanta, Georgia, primarily representing plaintiffs in personal injury and products liability cases. He also represented clients in construction litigation and real estate development matters. For the next 19 years, Mr. Doss was employed by Fieldcrest Cannon, Inc., a fortune 500 textile manufacturing company with domestic and international operations. Mr. Doss' primary legal responsibilities at Fieldcrest Cannon included products liability, corporate, securities, intellectual property, real estate, environmental, labor and employment, and various commercial matters. Mr. Doss served as Fieldcrest Cannon's Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for a number of years, with responsibility for all legal matters as well as for the Company's real estate and security divisions. Early in his career, Mr. Doss began the use of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms as a means of resolving disputes economically. He also was active in applying these techniques in resolving community issues and in other contexts outside of legal disputes.
Mr. Doss is certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission. Mr. Doss is a member of the bars of Georgia and North Carolina, and is admitted before the state and federal courts of both states and the United States Supreme Court.
