Rick Feeley is uniquely qualified to provide dispute resolution services and strategic legal solutions to the residential builder and remodeler. Rick is a twenty year attorney with experience both in private practice and as Sr. Counsel for The Home Depot’s Legal Department. Before joining The Home Depot in 1999, Rick spent nine years as a litigation attorney with Lamar Archer & Cofrin in Atlanta, Georgia where he represented business clients, both plaintiffs and defendants, in commercial, construction, real estate, personal injury and insurance coverage disputes.
At The Home Depot, Rick established and managed the company’s Customer litigation team (both in-house and a nationwide network of outside counsel), developing a consistent, cost effective, Brand protective approach to Customer dispute resolution. As Lead Counsel for The Home Depot’s Home Services Division (the largest home remodeling company in the United States), Rick created and implemented consistent, user friendly Customer and Service Provider contracts and compliant business processes.
Rick included mandatory mediation and arbitration clauses in Home Depot’s standard Service Provider contracts and acted as both an advocate and company representative in numerous mediation and arbitration proceedings. Rick also developed and implemented mediation skill processes and training for Home Depot’s Customer Care Associates and Home Services Field Managers, resulting in both improvement in Customer Service and a dramatic decrease in litigation volume and expense. |
