Sherry R. Wetsch is a 1981 graduate of Moorhead State University with a B.S.W. in Social Work. She received her Juris Doctor in 1984 from the University of North Dakota School of Law . Ms. Wetsch is licensed to practiced law in Texas, North Dakota and Missouri. |
Biography |
Ms. Wetsch started her legal career as an attorney for the United States Department of the Army, and also served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. Beginning in 1996 her practice has centered on Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Ms. Wetsch has served as a third party neutral on thousands of cases. Ms. Wetsch serves as a mediator through TEA on special education related matters. She has served as a mediator and settlement conference judge on felony criminal court dockets for multiple State Judicial Districts. She conducts mediations for the United States Postal Service REDRESS program on employment related disputes. She also serves as a mediator for the TXDMV and FINRA.
Ms. Wetsch has served as an arbitrator for AAA, Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS), FINRA, National Mediation Board (NMB), and Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT).Through FINRA, she has served as a neutral on approximately 150 securities disputes, including serving as Chairperson on dozens of panels. She has been appointed to the National Railroad Adjustment Board. She serves as an arbitrator through the FMCS on labor disputes. She has served as a Referee through the NMB. Her experience in labor and employment is in both the private and public sectors. She has sat as a Hearing Examiner on employment/contract disputes through TEA. She has also served as a Temporary Administrative Law Judge for the State Office of Administrative Hearings (SOAH) on a wide range of issues involving governmental entities and regulatory matters. |
