Biography |
Bachman Smith III is dedicated to serving clients in all aspects of their business law needs. Real estate developers and owners call on Mr. Smith to help plan, organize, permit, construct and open successful commercial and residential projects. He has played a key role in the planning and permitting of five significant hotels and inns in Charleston. As a trustee and past president of the Historic Charleston Foundation, he is uniquely positioned to assist clients in working with preservation groups and neighborhood associations in obtaining variances and permits.
Mr. Smith served as chairman of the City of Charleston Zoning Board of Adjustment (1976-1981).
He also has an active practice as a mediator. He mediates approximately 40 cases each year, and has a successful settlement rate of approximately 95 percent of his cases. |
