Biography |
Steve Sanders is one of the founding partners of Williams Venker & Sanders in St. Louis. Over the course of over 40 years of practice devoted to litigation, Steve has tried more than 60 jury trials to verdict and has also tried matters in the fields of business litigation, product liability litigation, medical malpractice and a wide variety of general personal injury cases.
Sanders is a fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America and a member of the Product Liability Advisory Council. He has been named by his peers as a Best Lawyer in America for business litigation for the past 30+ years; for product liability for 20+ years; and for personal injury for 20+ years. In 2014, he was named as St. Louis Lawyer of the Year for Product Liability Litigation and in 2013, he was named as St. Louis Lawyer of the Year for Personal Injury. Steve has been consistently named as a Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyer for personal injury products and business litigation since 2006.
A graduate of Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis (1975 magna cum laude) he is admitted to the Bar in the States of Missouri, Illinois and Indiana and has appeared pro hac vice in both state and federal courts in Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Vermont, and Rhode Island. He has argued appeals in both the Appellate and Supreme Courts of Missouri and Illinois and in the Seventh, Eighth, and Ninth U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeal. The opportunity to participate in mediations in a wide variety of states and jurisdictions within those states has allowed him to have a unique perspective on the many different styles of mediations used by mediators in those locations. |
