Ms. Tolbert is a former Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR) Vice President and Board Member, Annual Conference Program Tri-Chair, ACR Legal Committee Co- Chair, ACR Diversity Committee Co- Chair, ACR Bylaws, Membership and Nominations Committee Member and is current ACR Commercial Section Board Member, ACR Diversity Committee Member and ACR Membership Task Force member. She is a former Co-Chair of the Commercial Sector of the Society of Professionals in Dispute Resolution (SPIDR). Ms. Tolbert is also a former member of many other ACR and SPIDR committees. Ms. Tolbert is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA). She is a member of the ABA Labor and Employment Law Section, a member of the ABA Dispute Resolution Section (ABA-DRS) and is the Diversity Committee Chair for the ABA-DRS. Biography |
Angelia Tolbert, Esq. has served as a mediator, arbitrator, facilitator and conflict resolution trainer and service provider for more than twenty (20) years. Based in Little Rock, Arkansas, she provides alternative dispute resolution services to federal/state government agencies, court systems, corporations, businesses, industries, community groups, attorneys and individuals.
Ms. Tolbert has mediated thousands of cases covering a wide variety of substantive areas and involving a full range of issues. ADR Experience and Qualifications: Ms. Tolbert has extensive dispute resolution experience resolving complex insurance matters involving liability claims, coverage disputes, compliance and corporate governance. Ms. Tolbert has expertise in thoroughly evaluating, investigating and resolving employment disputes involving claimed race/color, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, age, national origin (ethnicity), disability and religion discrimination; actual, constructive and wrongful termination; failure to hire, promote or adhere to progressive discipline; work assignments and workloads; overtime and wage issues; retaliation; hostile work environment; defamation and invasion of privacy and other areas of workplace dispute for private clients, law firms and state and federal government agencies.
Ms. Tolbert has hundreds of hours of training in mediation, facilitation and other conflict resolution techniques. Ms. Tolbert received comprehensive alternative dispute resolution training while completing the ADR curriculum (ADR Survey Semester Course, Basic Mediation Semester Course, Family Mediation Semester Course, Negotiations Semester Course and Mediation Clinic) at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. Ms Tolbert receives advanced ADR and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) training on an annual basis. |
