Biography |
James F. Stapleton practiced law for over thirty years. During that time, his practice included commercial litigation, arbitration and mediation. Since 2003, he has concentrated his practice on arbitration and mediation.
A former Connecticut Superior Court judge, Mr. Stapleton is a Fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators and a Certified Mediator by the International Mediation Institute. A past President of the Connecticut Bar Association, he is a member of its Executive Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution and a member of the Committee on Resolution of Legal Fee Disputes. A Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, he is a past Connecticut state chair and a former Regent as well as a member of its Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution.
He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Connecticut Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers (Westchester Magazine) and Chambers USA 2011 for alternative dispute resolution. Mr. Stapleton is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and has been a speaker and panelist for numerous professional seminars on trial practice and alternative dispute resolution. |
