Biography |
Bob has been a practicing trial lawyer more than 47 years. During that time he has been selected as one of Four Outstanding Young Men of Alabama, Outstanding Young Men of America, Who’s Who in American Law, and Who’s Who in International Law. He was awarded the Roderick Beddow, Sr. Award as the outstanding Criminal Defense Lawyer in Alabama in 1990. He has tried cases in 12 states and 8 foreign countries. Through appellate practice, he has changed the law 8 times during his career. French has represented 22 citizens accused of murder without an execution. He has worked for wellknown politicians, movie stars, as well as some of the wealthiest and poorest people in the United States. A certified arbitrator and mediator, today French spends most of his time on case preparation rather than trial. |
