Tom, as he is known to friends and associates, was born on November 18, 1948. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Arizona in 1970 and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Arizona in 1973. After admission to the State Bar of Arizona in 1973, he served as an Assistant Attorney General involved in the investigation of the land fraud and real estate corruption for which Arizona had become notorious in those years. Since 1976, he has focused his career on the defense of liability litigation with special emphasis on commercial, real estate and related matters. He has been awarded an A-V Rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
Throughout his career, Tom has handled litigation involving commercial and real estate liability, attorney, accountant and architect malpractice, construction liability, pesticide and termiticide liability, products liability including suits involving medical devices and procedures, errors and omissions carrier liability, employer; employee liability, and auto liability.
In addition, his negotiating skills and reputation for accurate case evaluation have resulted in Tom being asked to serve as private mediator by both the defense and plaintiffs bars.
Tom comes from a long line of school teachers and administrators. His wife, Pamela, is a school principal. His family predisposition to serve the community has led to many years of service as a member of the Volunteer Lawyer Program Board of Directors and, in 1998,his selection as Volunteer Lawyer of the Year. |
