Mr. Lee has an AV rating in Martindale Hubbel, and is a General Civil Mediator pursuant to Rule 31 of the Tennessee Supreme Court. As a General Civil Mediator, Mr. Lee Completed over 40 hours of mediation training. He is admitted to practice in Tennessee and Georgia state and federal courts. He has been specially admitted as lead counsel on a case by case basis in California, Florida, New York, Ohio, Michigan, Texas, South Carolina, North Carolina, Indiana, Illinois, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Kentucky. Mr. Lee concentrates his practice on employment mediation, arbitration and litigation. As an advocate or mediator, he has handled hundreds of employment related matters including wrongful discharge, discrimination, retaliation, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, whistleblower, and breach of contract claims. At mediation Mr. Lee is a strong advocate for settlement, using his over 23 years of legal experience to fully explore all resolution possibilities. Mr. Lee is experienced in evaluative and facilitative mediation techniques.
Prior to concentrating his practice on employment law, Mr. Lee handled general civil and commercial litigation matters on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. On the plaintiffs’ side, he represented perhaps the most litigious entity in the United States during the 80’s and 90’s, the FDIC, in professional liability claims against former directors, officers, accountants, attorneys, and insurers of failed financial institutions. Mr. Lee also has handled various breach of contract and Uniform Commercial Code lawsuits. Mr. Lee has represented plaintiffs in personal injury matters. Although Mr. Lee’s primary practice area is employment law, he has obtained settlements for plaintiffs well in excess of $1 million. |
