She served as President of the Mississippi College School of Law Alumni Association and has held offices over the years in the Mississippi Oil and Gas Lawyers Association and Madison County Bar Association. For the past two years, she has served as the Chairman of the Fee Dispute Resolution Committee for the Mississippi Bar Association. She is a graduate of Leadership Madison County and Vice President of the Madison Ridgeland Business Network International networking group. She is also a member of the American Land Title Association and is a title insurance agent for Mississippi Valley Title Insurance/Old Republic National Title Insurance and First American Title Insurance. She is a member of the Ridgeland Chamber of Commerce. |
Biography |
Mrs. Pinkston has over 160 hours of mediation and arbitration training and received her mediation certification from Harvard Law School in 1996. She has mediated over seven hundred cases, including Hurricane Katrina claims. She serves as a mediator for the United States Postal Service, the United States Department of Agriculture and EEOC. She is a member of the FINRA Arbitration panel, arbitrating claims for that association as a non-industry arbitrator. Mrs. Pinkston also mediates litigation claims from private sources as well as family disputes. She has spoken at many legal seminars on real estate and title insurance during her career. She often speaks to community groups and churches, specifically about estate needs and mediation services.
Mrs. Pinkston has worked for the City of Jackson, writing title certificates for right of way and easement acquisition, having been awarded a contract with the city as a minority owned business. Her services are frequently sought out in difficult real estate title or heirship situations.
Mrs. Pinkston served as an adjunct professor of oil and gas law for three years at Mississippi College School of Law. |
