Biography |
Upon becoming licensed I served several years as an Assistant District Attorney in Houston, Texas, at the Harris County District Attorney’s office. During the month of July, 1989, I left the District Attorney’s office and accepted an opportunity to join the law firm of Hardberger & Rodriguez firm specialized in personal injury and workers’ compensation cases. The main partner, Phil Hardberger, had approximately twenty years experience at that time and we were able to draw a wide range of very significant cases. During the month of December 1992, I was fortunate enough to be made a partner in the Hardberger & Rodriguez firm. I remained a partner until the dissolution of the firm, which occurred on January 1, 1994. At that time Governor Ann Richards requested that Phil Hardberger accept an appointment to the Fourth Court of Appeals located in San Antonio.
My experience includes formal training and practical experience. I have completed the Basic Mediator Training Course and have been certified by the Attorney-Mediators Institute.
Additionally, I have received further certification through A.D.R. Services International, Inc. This certification included mediator training as provided for in the Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code §154 regarding alternative dispute resolution procedures.
Finally, I have mediated approximately 8,000 cases. These include claims involving personal injuries, wrongful death, medical malpractice, construction defects, disputes involving the purchase of real estate, first party homeowner insurance claims, probate claims, cargo loss claims, contract disputes, business and partnership disputes, employment disputes, wrongful termination, retaliation, non-subscriber claims, discrimination claims, sexual harassment claims, wage and hour claims, and a wide variety of other claims. |
