Education |
Jon received his bachelor's degree from West Point and served five years on active duty, including a tour in Vietnam, as an officer in the United States Army. Jon is a past president of the West Point Society of Greater Houston. Jon's legal education is from the National Law Center, George Washington University where he served as an editor of the Journal of International Law and Economics before graduating, cum laude in 1973. |

Biography |
Jon has been practicing law for over thirty years, has been involved in the ADR practice since 1973, and has been qualified as a Distinguished Credentialed Mediator by the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association. During this time Jon has successfully mediated the majority of a broad range of well over 2000 cases in the greater Houston area.
Jon has been awarded the Harris County Dispute Resolution Center’s (“DRCâ€) Outstanding Mediator Award in the Litigation Mediation Program. Jon was also awarded the Houston Bar Foundation's Volunteer of the Year Award for his exemplary work in the DRC’s Litigation Mediation Program where to date he has mediated over 400 pro bono cases. Jon has also served as an arbitrator on numerous cases and began his arbitration practice assisting with the presentation and resolution of over 100 commercial arbitration cases before the Commercial Arbitration Counsel of the American Arbitration Association. |
