Biography |
Since his retirement from the New York State Supreme Court (Nassua County) in 2003, Judge Segal has mediated and arbitrated thousands of civil matters including personal injury, commercial, employment, professional malpractice and business disputes. He brings over 50 years experience in the legal profession to his ADR practice.
Prior to joining the Supreme Court in 1989, Judge Segal served as Judge of the Nassau County District Court. He served as an arbitrator for 10 years with the American Arbitration Association, and served as a Master in Civil Court, New York County, presiding over tort and commercial litigation. In 1989 he was elected President of the Nassau County District Court Judges’ association. He also served as Acting Supervising Judge of the District Court; Acting Nassau County Court Judge; and Acting Criminal Court Judge in the City of New York. |
